Paul is also the former CEO of Gemstar Communications Inc. and spent ten years developing core technologies in the field of portable wireless communication products. As a strategic planner, Paul guided this Oakville company from an idea to a small Research & Development organization and finally to a Global Wireless Communications Solution Provider. Paul has been involved in all aspects of the R&D decision making process, as well as marketing, production, contract negotiations management recruiting and investor relations. In 1997 he was responsible for taking the company public and in the summer of 2001 the company was sold completely.

Paul started his racing career in Karts and has successfully raced Formula Fords, Formula 2000, Can Am, Formula 2 and Grand Am SRII cars at tracks all over North America and Britain. The 2000 season saw 3 podium finishes in the SRII Lola at Road America, Trois Rivieres and Watkins Glen. For the 2001 season Paul teamed up with Andy Lally in the #21 Lola Nissan to contest the SRPII Grand Am Championship. Together they captured first places at the 2001 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, Lime Rock and Mid Ohio events.
